Business Mentoring

StepUp have presented for the DCMS (Department Culture Media & Sport) alongside the Permanent Secretary Jonathan Stephens and World Record holder Jonathan Edwards. Inspirational speakers who share their own experiences of transforming their own lives and the lives of young people and adults, Presenting to business leaders and industry executives, StepUp athletes have spoke about their battles against adversity and how to triumph over daily barriers that could impede success. The dedication, determination and drive that athletes use are lessons that any business can take away and instill amongst its workforce.

Mental Health Support Service

StepUp have developed the ‘Star Recovery’ process, which has been at the forefront of initiatives to provide individualized support to inpatients. Working as part of the MDT (Multi Disciplinary Team) that implements programs to support and facilitate recovery and education for inpatients, StepUp have also been instrumental in helping many patients transition back into the community. A number of mental health outpatients have also benefited through a ‘buddy’ system where they could rely on someone to assist their needs in finding employment, accommodation and also confide in over personal matters.

Mentoring Disaffected Young People and Adults

Listening to the needs of the young people and adults, StepUp offer a bespoke support mentoring service. This service has assisted hundreds of people over the past 10 years and has been paramount to the success of engaging them in constructive education or employment programs. Supporting the aspirations of young people, whilst maintaining strong and extensive links with local education authorities, councils and extended services such as Connexions, has been instrumental in creating a network of personnel who can create positive pathways and sustainable links that aid the development and lives of those young people involved.

Gifted and Talented

StepUp provide a range of support services for Gifted and Talented, Including various workshops, such as raising aspirations, goal setting, profiling and lifestyle management. Their inspiring experiences give a dramatic resource, which schools use to help improve their very best pupils. StepUp aim to maximize everyone’s potential and “being the best” you can be is at the heart of this.
